Watch Us Play The Intense RPG Golf Story

Watch Game Informer’s Andrew Reiner, Kim Wallace, and Leo Vader play a handful of holes, meet some colorful characters, and try to win the Coach’s approval.

And while I dislike getting new golf gloves each and every year, it’s a must for me. Folks have attempted to get me to play with no glove in the previous, but I’ve never been in a position to do so. Whether it’s a mental thing or just the Oklahoma humidity, I have to put on a golf glove until I’m chipping or putting.

The new JPX AD Driver takes some receiving used to appears smart but has a really forgiving package with a mid height face but shallow back style. It is 46.5″ in length to generate maximum distance for those looking to go straight and lengthy.

At the time, it was the very best glove I had ever worn, but I haven’t had 1 in much more than a year. I switched to FootJoy gloves, but even they left me wanting a bit more. I’ve been playing a lot much more golf this year than in the past, and the Footjoy gloves don’t last much more than a couple of rounds in the Oklahoma heat without having losing their grip.

On top of that, and this is very vital, it really is also designed to offer a non-slip, water repellant finish. The durability and performance when wet are two quite essential factors when dealing with golf gloves, and the Skintite’s purpose is to perfect each.

The JPX AD has often been a forged automatic model for the average golfer and the new JPX Forged are no diverse as they appear to sport an even thicker topline that prior models. Mizuno however has continued not to use a pocket cavity for the forged model to maintain the soft really feel.

When I lost my first Mizuno Skintite glove on the course (I still have no idea what occurred to that thing), I pulled out a FootJoy glove that had been played a few rounds. I figured it would be ok, but the heat completely dominated it. Soon after playing with it a couple of holes, the glove became extremely slick. When I play with a slick glove, you can bet my drives and iron shots will be heading right. The club slips just a little, and the ball goes bye-bye.

I am considerably far more certain than a lot of golfers when it comes to golf gloves. Like I talked about above, it may have some thing to do with the mental side of items, or it might just be the grueling Oklahoma heat that causes a lot of sweat throughout a round of golf. Either way, I’m a far better player when I’m comfy with my golf glove.

  1. The game is broke, while playing a round of golf you can put in any hole! So if im on tee 2 i can turn around and putt into hole 1, it has just spoiled the game knowing i can do this even thought i am sticking to the set course.

  2. This is seriously making me want a Switch. I love fun games with a good sense of humor… but until I get one, does anyone know of any other cool, funny games? I know of Double Fines games and the ones by Ron Gilbert, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I will repay u with a like 🙂

  3. I’d really like to get this if i had a switch. i would like to see a scott pilgrim game made like this but with no golf or fit it in some how i don’t know lol

  4. "Sucked in" is basically suckered or ha-ha i tricked you, and is sometimes use in the combo of "Sucked in, bummed out", which is like combining Sucker + Bummer (or Ha-Ha + Feels-bad-man).

  5. My first experience with golf was on Amiga 500 and the game was Sensible Golf. I really liked the game, it also had the 3 click system. I also played some hot shot golf and Wii golf and I don’t know why but I kinda like the sport. I’ve never tried it in real life. The whole idea that a golf mechanic is merged with the JRPG is something I never thought I’d see and I really dig it! I don’t know if I’ll play this cos I don’t have a Switch but looks really interesting and I’d like to look deeper into it.

  6. 41:22 o maybe the wind has been effecting all of my shots this playthrough…..yes….goodness…. thank you. BUT I LOVE WATCHING YOU GUYS PLAY GAMES!!!!!!

  7. Is it out yet? I kinda want it.. gonna watch this and see if i could be into it.. Goes to look* Not out in USA FL.. its 1am.. wonder if it will be out tonight.. hopefully in the morning if anything.

  8. Sausage roll, Sucked in and Crikey make me think this is Australian, but I can’t seem to find any info on the developer 🙁

  9. Been playing this over the weekend. When i went through the dialogue at 39:38, i just laughed out loud. This game is great.

  10. You keep screaming at your ball to "to sit" man that’s what spin is for, backspin to be specific.. having so much trouble when if you weren’t avoiding spin altogether it’d be simple.

  11. The Voice of an Angel, The RPG Queen and the President of Videogames, shooting Golf? Christmas came early this year! Thanks for the vid!

  12. So the main character just runs around and challenges the coach’s kids?
You forgot to show how you can throw golf balls around at everyone~

  13. 24:26 I’m going to have to skip this game because of the lack of character customization that should be standard in games like this. The developers are either lazy or non empathetic to their customer base. Reviewers should definitely dock points off for BS like this.

  14. "If you don’t like golf, should you still play Golf Story?"

What rubbish, I have no interest whatsoever in golf but this is one of my favourite indie games this year. Conversely, I’m pretty sure that most golf players who have little interest in video games, let alone traditional 2D RPGS, wouldn’t give two hoots.
