Kinkaku-Ji gouden Palviljoen

In 2008 My Small Pony toys celebrated 25 great years of whimsicality and celebrity status. Conceived and made by Hasbro, My Little Pony toys have brought magical entertaining to millions of little girls worldwide over many decades, and they are nevertheless around nowadays bringing enjoyment to youngsters and adult collectors alike.

These rainbow coloured, cute tiny pony toys have a lengthy and varied history but the ponies’ intrinsic characters remain the identical – whimsical and wonderful, just as Hasbro intended and portrayed with some very strong advertising and marketing approaches.

Most little girls dream of owning a pony and My Tiny Pony toys go some way to making that dream come accurate. Specially for little girls born in the 1970’s, growing up in the 80’s, as My Tiny Pony toys inspired pretty considerably a whole generation. These identical little girls around the time of the initial ponies are now adults who nevertheless really like their Small Pony toys, which have become extremely collectable.

Of course My Tiny Pony toys continued to be hugely popular right after this 1st generation of children grew up but their shapes and styles changed, and copycat merchandise came onto the marketplace to compete with them. Before any such competitors, when they were 1st introduced in 1983, My Tiny Pony toys became so well-liked that they outsold the infamous and massively successful Barbie doll at one particular point.

The inception of My Small Pony toys followed the closely associated My Pretty Pony toys, their American predecessor, that had been introduced to the marketplace in 1981. My Pretty Pony was created by Romper Space under the licence of Hasbro, despite the fact that Hasbro later obtained the patent. My Fairly Pony was a lot larger than the My Tiny Ponies that we know, and her colouring was much a lot more earthy than the pretty, pastel colours of My Little Pony, with main coloured accessories.

The initial generation of My Small Pony toys ran from 1983 to 1995 (1992 in the US) and there have been initially only six little ponies. These original six ponies have been all Earth ponies, that is they had no wings or horns, as opposed to later little ponies. They had silky, brushable manes and tails and their own individual symbols on their flanks. Every single tiny pony came with a ribbon and a comb for grooming them.

1 of the 1st My Little Ponies was released with the Grooming Parlour (Quite Parlour in the US) in 1983. The Grooming Parlour was a blue plastic rectangular carry-case that opened out into a parlour to groom your little pony. It came with a comb, ribbons, hats, a bridle, a saddle and nametags to show under a pony placed on the centre stage. It also came with a tabby cat and a pink basket that could be strapped to the pony’s back.

My Tiny Pony toys then changed in appearance more than time, though they retained their pastel coloured bodies with a different colour mane and tail, and person symbols on their flanks. Following the original Earth ponies came Unicorns and Pegasus ponies, and child ponies became obtainable in all 3 models – Earth, Unicorn and Pegasus types. The early babies were related to their “mothers” but smaller and in slightly softened colours. Later babies had been given far more distinctive identities of their personal.

In 1997 (1999 in the US and globally in 2003) the My Tiny Pony brand was re-launched by Hasbro, and enjoyed a massive revival in reputation (even though for numerous they had never ever actually gone away as My Little Pony toys were lasting icons representing childhood dreams). These second generation ponies have been created in completely new poses. They had been smaller and slimmer than the original first generation of ponies, with longer legs, jewel eyes and turning heads. Most of them were Earth ponies but there had been a handful of unicorns, even though no Pegasus ponies and only two child ponies.

All the Generation 2 My Tiny Pony toys were discontinued in 2003 when the subsequent, and existing, generation of small ponies was introduced. Generation 3 contains the re-release of some original ponies but in different poses or outfits and most of them have shiny bodies and matte symbols on their sides.

From 2003 to 2005 only Earth ponies were released, then in 2005 Pegasus ponies had been released and in 2006 Unicorn ponies. In 2008 Hasbro narrowed its My Small Pony toys down to seven ponies and no new ponies will be released, although some older models will be re-released.

Whatever occurs in the future of My Tiny Pony toys, they will often retain their charm and appeal to millions of small girls and adults worldwide and they are sure to have a long, magical life ahead. Their playfulness and whimsical nature will stay for generations of tiny girls to appreciate, and their iconic status will hopefully stand the test of time.

  1. …..and just like that, they took turns fucking her brains out. They took turns on her like a free ride at disneyland. And they all lived happily ever after…..exept for Snow White. She had to get reconstructive surgery.

  2. What? *NO!* Why would the king break the magic mirror? For one, the mirror wasn’t evil just because the queen was! For two, that mirror was a valuable resource that he could have used! "Magic mirror, hung over my bed. Name all conspirators who wish me dead." Or "Magic mirror of great divinations, which trades should I start with our neighboring nations?" Things like that.

    Poor mirror. 🙁

  3. 2:02 – 2:13 "So to fix the troubles, the King had to go away, from the Castle. The Evil Queen was very happy, because now that the QUEEN had gone away.."
I think she meant "Now that the KING had gone away"

  4. No it wasn’t because the prince kissed her it was because the dwarfs the dwarfs are the real heroes not the prince
