It appears the humble Christmas tree is now a symbol of prosperity and this year the race is on for the title of “The most expensive tree in the world.”

The town of Milan, Italy was the very first to claim the prize with the unveiling of a 450,000 USD tree in the Piazzo Duomo.

The spectacular tree was donated by Tiffany &amp Co. and has more than one hundred thousand white lights and decorations all specially developed by the renowned American jeweller.

The Italian church questioned Tiffany’s generosity when the effectively-identified retailer opened a shop beneath the tree to sell its jewellery over the festive season – but in true Christmas spirit, and to maintain the church content, Tiffany will donate 9% of all sales to a local charity.

The Milan tree held the title of “The most pricey tree in the globe” for only a couple of days till it lost out to an additional jewellery shop – this time in Japan…

When this gorgeous 24-carat gold tree went on show at the Ginza Tanaka shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.

The tree weighs 21 kilograms and is decorated with more than 240 jewels, like diamond baubles and strings of pearls. It has a value tag of 150,000,000 Yen (about 1,800,000 USD)

The retailer official felt the cost was justified in spite of the current financial situation, saying, “Economic sentiment is sluggish. But, at least in this store, we want folks to really feel a gorgeous atmosphere.”

However, within just a handful of days, the 24-carat tree was surpassed by an even flashier quantity…

This year the titleholders of the “The most pricey tree in the planet”, are the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The thirteen-metre higher tree, which sits in the hotel’s lobby, has been valued at over 11,000,000 USD – producing the Tiffany and Ginza Tanaka trees appear like poor relations.

In fact, the tree’s branches are adorned with watches, necklaces and bracelets, which amongst them include 181 diamonds, sapphires, pearls and emeralds.

The Emirates Palace has asked the Guinness Book of Records to certify the tree as the worlds’ most costly and a twenty-4 hour surveillance team is in location to shield the valuable decorations.

The Abu Dhabi tree is officially “The most expensive tree in the globe”.

But sadly, there is also a prize for the worst tree, or the “Charlie Brown Christmas Tree”, as it is has turn into known in America.

This year that prize went to the Castle Dene Purchasing Centre, Peterlee in the UK.

This tree will not require a twenty-four hour security team, as it has just twelve coloured lights and no decorations.

Yet, the town’s buying centre hired one of the nation’s pop sensations, Atomic Kitten star Natasha Hamilton, to switch on the lights in a lavish ceremony.

Considering that the tree went up the council have been inundated with complaints – locals had expected to see some Christmas cheer, rather than this forlorn spectacle.

Embarrassed, nearby councillor Joan Maslin, mentioned “I would describe this tree as just like a twig. To be truthful, it looks like something that men and women would throw in a skip soon after Christmas.”

I in fact believe it has a “certain charm” and at least it really is real, not some more than the top artificial show piece, which has regrettably now become the symbol of Christmas.

I’d like to want you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

  1. how comes, on the video, he approaches the jump and lets off the throttle, and his bike remains a good level in air (front wheel slightly higher than the rear).. But i have an issue on my KX 125, that i find myself nose diving mid air, like ALL THE TIME, EVERY JUMP…
I let off the throttle just as im ready to leave the lip of the jump.. and have to gas the shit out of it to pull myself level for landing (im also right over the rear of the bike)…

  2. Kids just fighting with each other on here, trying to "1 up" each other lmao,….did anyone notice the skill this rider has?

  3. Hey.Would it be ok if I use 10 seconds of your video sound for my intro?
    Greetings from Germany Mr.Twostroke
