  1. Hey Boze Backboze……Ah YES BEING CHRISTIAN , MEANS A BIBLE IN ONE HAND AND A WEAPON TO MURDER , IN THE OTHER HAND !!!!!!!! WHAT god do u worship ?????? Not the God of ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB !!!! YOU worship like the HEATHENS IN BABYLONIAN TIMES . , READ YOUR BIBLE !!!! WHAT THE NATIVES WERE DOING WAS WRONG , THEY STARTED WORSHIPPING AND SACRIFICING TO IDOL’S AND THE MOST HIGH ALLOWED THAT FREAK COLUMBUS , TO DO WHAT HE DID!!! BUT THEY WERE SPECIAL PEOPLE TO OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN. IN THE LAST DAYS …THINGS WILL TURN A 180 AND THESE PEOPLE YOU CALL BYWORDS, WILL BE BACK ON TOP, AGAIN . ALL THE TRUE ISRAELITES NEED TO DO IS , KEEP THE LAWS STATUTES AND COMMANDMENT’S THEY WERE GIVEN THEM BY OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN !!!!!!

  2. Ughh this was such garbage. He wiped out the entire Taino population in less than 60 years. You have to mention the genocide, you’re the History Channel for Christ’s sakes.

  3. The fact that we celebrate a murderer/theif/rapist is disgusting. Christopher Columbus was terrible dude that raped and killed and let his men rape and kill. He stole a land and claimed it as his own and gets recognition for "discovering" something already discover by millions. We should have Columbus Day changed to national Christopher Columbus is a dick head day. Or we could make a day dedicated to the natives or show some type of respect for them and not try to sweep it under the rug like millions didn’t suffer.

  4. Poor Columbus He got busted and His Story cannot be trusted for Accuracy as relative to Ancient History not His- story. I however like to see the Parade and the costumes on Fifth Ave.

  5. When I think of the history of America, I think of Columbus. When I think of Columbus I think of deceit, disrespect, invasion, terror, abuse, murder and robbery.
    Oh, but Happy Columbus day.
I appreciate my life. I am thankful. But what was done cannot be taken back. It is because of these "forefathers" that america has grown the way that it has. History repeats itself in different ways. Life is a bit better in some parts of the world. But still, the world seems doomed and people will pay for their wrong doing. The sad part about this is, others will suffer behind someone elses evil dealings.
? But Happy Columbus day my sisters and brothers of color to no color.?

  6. You know… I’ve been lookin through a lot of these Columbus videos for a critical thinking activity with youth examining Columbus’ legacy and how it’s taught, and I’m really appreciating all of the awareness of what really went down in those days. I feel like we the people of the internet have a more solid grip on reality than what I remember from my younger days, if the comments are any indicator. Good on all yall!

  7. Let’s celebrate a man who committed genocide, only cared about gold, showed no respect to Natives, didn’t even discover anything and he didn’t even think he discovered something.

  8. No he didn’t discover America & he wasn’t Italian either, he’s name was Cristobal Colon, a common Spanish name & he began a western European invasion of the lands of the natives. Can someone who has never been to your house proclaim that he discovered it & kill you & your family & keep it just because he didn’t know you & your house existed before he got there???

  9. Doesn’t that Aussie cracker Rupert Murdoch own the History Channel?

One has to figure that Murdoch has plenty of paid goons trolling and flagging NDNs or anyone else telling the truth regarding Columbus or others who have engaged themselves in genocide. The land and it’s resources are already in their hands, so now it’s all about cultural genocide.

  10. Notice how new age wannabees, you know the ones that can always be found commenting on those cheezy twinkie "spirit of the wolf" music videos never contest Columbus or Thanksgiving Day?

  11. I wouldn’t call the enslavement and genocide of thousands of Native Americans the discovery of America, I’d call it an act of evil.

  12. It’s pretty amazing what we’ve been able to accomplish in our short history, from the initial settlements and Westward expansion, to the Industrial Revolution all the way up through our modern Digital Age!

  13. COLUMBUS will always be a HERO. He brought civilization to a land where genocide, canibalism, withcraft, children and women abuse were rampant! The Europeans also brought the most important thing. The Bible! The Word of God bringing light to darkness. Out of a primitive civlization full of darkness, it became the new world! I am enjoying my holiday! and the school play was awesome! HAPPY CRISTOBAL COLOMBO DAY!!!

  14. Truth is Islamic Muslims are worldwide terrorist. And 99% of their population protects them. Get serious mister.

  15. Stop, you are so full of liberal academic crap. Can’t you do a even the minute research for yourself and get off the farm.

  16. Columbus didn’t discover anything, especially America. Columbus invaded America. There were people living in the Americas. They are the ancestors of the Chicano, Latinos, and Native American Indians and all the indigenous people of South American continent. The Phoenicians who are the ancestors of modern day Palestinians, Lebanon, and Syria came to the American continent hundreds of years before Columbus. They didn’t come to conquer the original inhabitants/natives, they came in peace. They, the Phoenicians, came to America first and they are the ancestors of the Arab people. Not Columbus. Columbus called the natives savages and murdered the peaceful natives of America.

  17. How the hell is the history channel saying raise a glass? Is it not the history channel that is supposed to be accurate? What? I don’t get it.

  18. this is one holiday we can do without, columbus did not even know where he was. why are you honoring a man who thought he was in india ????? the vikings were the first europeans to set foot on north america .

  19. Can anybody PLEASe explain to me, why are we still Celebrating this Fucking Scumbag? Knowing the Abominable acts of atrocity and unimaginable cruelty he has committed ?
