  34. Although this sounds wonderful, in my World I cannot see how this proposed effort is factual & true. All I see everywhere I look thru my lens:▪from the bulldozing of Our neighborhoods more than 4 decades ago for the 105 Fwy, to which those who were forced to sacrifice their homes have the least access, i.e., both the financial cost AND where the physical accesibility has been strategically placed ~ I call it, "The Expressway Thru The Hood";▪to the persistent/consistent gentrification of Brown & Black neighborhoods… pushing out the Have Nots into the neither-here-nor-there-lands, and often into homelessness, all thanks to increased property taxes, greedy property owners/landlords, or because they simply can no longer afford the out-of-reach cultural/spiritual/financial cost of remaining;▪to the cloaked "urban renewal" (which has always been code for "Negro, Latino & other Have Nots’ removal") in the best interest of projects such as the Metro… and the largesse, which primarily the usufructing gentry who will ensue, shall benefit from/enjoy;▪to the increasing absence of political representation & advertising in "nicer area" public places, by & for the Melaninated.And the list goes on and on and on…All of this leads to exacerbated mental, physical & emotional strains, which adds up to an increase in stress-related illness, which continues to shorten, nor enhance or extend Our lives.So, although I REALLY want to believe that this supposed effort/campaign this is true, quite honestly, it all just adds up to a fancy bells & whistles animated PowerPoint presentation, which would make for an impressive augmentation for a doctoral thesis, but is in no way rooted in the Truth of Our reality. ~ dlb

  147. Good graphics, but it seems rather "preachy" and simplistic. This is the same theory that Gerald Diamond preaches in "Guns, germs, and steel." I didn’t buy it there either. It totally ignores generational choices and consequences and relegates individual responsibility to the nether sphere . But, rest assured, Thomas Piketty and the editorial board of the NY times totally agrees with you. And I could be wrong. Maybe we should abolish personal property rights so everyone can be equal. But then what? Do we redistribute everything annually? I mean, have u thought this out?
